A field of Golden Slipper Stakes hopes for next weekendâs major battle it out for a spot in the field this Saturday in Rosehillâs 2017 Pago Pago Stakes, betting tips for which are detailed below.

Running as Race 3 at 1:45pm (AEDT) on the Coolmore Classic Day card, this seasonâs $175,000 Group 3 Pago Pago Stakes (1200m) features a dozen two-year-old colts and geldings.
The latest Pago Pago Stakes betting odds at Ladbrokes.com.au are led by the undefeated Hawkes Racing-trained Ducimus ($3.30) coming off back-to-back Victorian wins including the Listed Talindert Stakes (1100m) at Flemington.
Firming into second favouritism in the markets is Condor Heroes ($4 into $3.50), the Gerald Ryan-rained market mover first-up on the weekend.
The Not A Single Doubt colt comes off a 900m Rosehill trial win from late January by nearly eight lengths and is out to frank the form of his debut second last October behind Khan in the Listed Breedersâ Plate (1000m).
So will the two top fancies battle it out for the Pago Pago Stakes title and spot in Saturday weekâs Golden Slipper Stakes field or is there an upset pending from the likes of Gary Portelliâs Skyline Stakes third placegetter Single Bullet ($6) or Coruscate ($7) coming off a second in the same Group 2 lead-up in the wet a fortnight back?
1st
#2 Single Bullet ($6)
Think this consistent Not A Single Doubt colt shapes-up as a big chance to break through with his maiden win at career start number four. All three starts so far have produced top three runs including crossing a luckless third beaten a length on a Heavy (8) Randwick track last time out. Proven in this sort of company, will bet fitter in this and looks nice value.
2nd
#3 Coruscate ($7)
Sticking with the Skyline Stakes form to stack-up here and this Godolphin-raced Exceed And Excel colt can finish in the money again. Was a neck beaten last time out after a winning debut at Canterbury in early February and looks on the improve still.
3rd
#1 Ducimus ($3.30)
Undefeated to date and deserving of top spot in betting based on the lead-up form. Gets a gun run from barrier five with Blake Shinn coming aboard in the place of Noel Callow. Black-type winner last time out at Flemington and only needs to handle the Sydney way of racing to salute here for the Hawkesâ stable.
